He is interested in plant diseases research using detection and diagnostic tools, applied management strategies in protecting plants health, improving yield, and support services to growers. John’s long-term goal is to continue working independently and in an interdisciplinary collaboration to bring about an effective strategic direction, through the development of various and workable ideas focused on the successful delivery of an overall goal. He has won prestigious awards and grants from different bodies such as The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Community Network for African Vector-Borne Plant Viruses (CONNECTED) and governments of his home country (Nigeria). He is an active member of many professional bodies serving in different capacities either as an AdHoc Reviewer or a member.
