Job Duties

– Prepare sourcing strategies that optimize how BP places its demand in the supply market to ensure the selection of suppliers that are best suited to meet business requirements
– Develop and implement innovative supplier relationship and performance management strategies
– Lead cross-segment, multi-disciplinary steering committees to understand and anticipate the demand for environmental professional services across the company
– Develop sub-category strategies that align BP’s demand with the supply market for the following sub-categories of environmental professional services; environmental consulting and engineering; oil spill preparedness & response planning; environmental analytical laboratory services; decommissioning, remediation & restoration services; and waste treatment & disposal

What advise would you give to the current Aggies interested in entering environmental industry?

Try your best to get a wide breadth of experience in different areas your first few years. It will give you a good knowledge base as well as help you decide what areas you enjoy working in the most.

If you were entering the environmental industry today, what area would you pursue? Why?

Brownfields – provides an opportunity to clean up old industrial/manufacturing sites and bring them to beneficial reuse.
