Professional Summary

Hannah Ayala is the Head Diagnostician at the Texas Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (TPDDL), where she leads daily lab operations and oversees all diagnostic processes. With both classical and molecular diagnostic techniques, she provides support to clients across Texas and the continental United States for detection of plant diseases. In her role, she upholds the TPDDL’s mission by delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services to AgriLife Extension & Research personnel, the Texas Department of Agriculture, the agriculture and green industries, and the public to protect and secure plant resources, promoting sustainable practices, and enhancing economic competitiveness for the state of Texas.
