Melissa Deneena

Experience Detail

Ms. Denena has prepared biological sections of innumerable NEPA documents, CEQA
documents, and constraints analyses. She has conducted a broad range of
reconnaissance and protocol level special-status species surveys. She has delineated
jurisdictional waters in a variety of wetland habitats; seasonal wetlands,
ephemeral/intermittent/perennial streams, alkali wetlands, vernal pools, freshwater and
saltwater marshes, and created wetlands. She has also compiled and implemented
wetland and riparian mitigation and monitoring plans and has prepared permit
applications submitted to and approved by the USACE and USFWS, as well as
California agencies such as RWQCB and CDFG.

Certifications

Ms. Denena has received certification in the Wetland Delineation Training Course (40 hours) sponsored by the Wetland Training Institute, Inc., as well as the Wetland Delineation and Management Training (40 hours) and Advanced Training (40 hours) sponsored by Richard Chinn Environmental Training, Inc. Ms. Denena also received certification in California Anostraca and Notostraca Identification (40 hours) sponsored by Belk Consulting and holds a USFWS Branchiopod Permit (TE-108681-0).
