He works with interdisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists during project design to avoid and minimize impacts on the environment, thus accelerating permit schedules. Mr. Hanzlik’s experience includes the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, environmental permitting, geographic information system (GIS) analysis, water and soil sampling, and laboratory analysis. Mr. Hanzlik is well versed in Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting. He currently serves as the Environmental Manager for Bexar County’s $500 million flood control bond program and leads his team of scientists to not only support the County’s program, but also to provide environmental-related services to a variety of private, municipal, state, and federal clients.
