Jeff Kiec

Experience Overview

Jeff is a green building and sustainability professional with over ten years of experience in the commercial real estate marketplace. His experience includes environmental auditing, building engineering assessments, and energy assessments within the hospitality, commercial office, government, retail, and multi-family residential real estate sectors. He has conducted over 500 commercial building audits and has extensive technical writing experience.

In addition, his work includes program experience, providing daily sales and project support to numerous Fortune 500 clients and some of the largest financial institutions in the country. His sustainability program experience includes developing comprehensive sustainability reporting for Wal-Mart suppliers and numerous hotel properties. As a side project, he published a “sustainability tip guide” to teach people how to live more sustainably. He has participated in several LEED EB O&M Certification projects for large commercial office buildings. Jeff focuses on creative solutions to complex problems while understanding of business strategies to produce results for any program.

In his time outside of work, he volunteers as the Sustainability Director in Deep Ellum, a historic arts and entertainment neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. Deep Ellum was founded in 1876 as a neighborhood that attracted a diverse mix of free-spirited, creative, and independence-minded people from across the country. That spirit continues today. Jeff has been able to educate local residents and businesses on energy efficiency and sustainable living. Current and past projects include urban community gardens, pooled renewable power purchases for local businesses, community clean-ups, speaking engagements, panel discussions, and the installation of electric vehicle charging stations.
