Biography

Ms. Elspeth Sharp is a Senior Environmental Scientist and Project Manager with 13 years of professional experience in environmental investigation and restoration services for both private and public-sector clients. After graduation from Texas A&M University in December 1998 with a Bioenvironmental Science degree, Ms. Sharp began her career as an Environmental Scientist with Radian International, LLC (Radian). Radian was subsequently acquired by Dames & Moore, which was shortly thereafter acquired by URS Corporation (URS), where Ms. Sharp is currently employed.

Ms. Sharp’s project experience at URS includes soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment environmental investigations, long-term groundwater monitoring programs, biological assessments, waste management, background chemical concentration studies, and remedial actions. Projects include sites regulated by both federal and state (Texas, Arizona, and Illinois) programs.

Since 2007, Ms. Sharp has primarily played a role in managing projects supporting the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE) in investigating, remediating, and closing environmental sites at the former Williams AFB in Mesa, Arizona, and the former Kelly AFB in San Antonio, Texas.

While at URS, Ms. Sharp has also had the opportunity to serve as a Quality Representative and as a Team Leader for the Remediation Department for URS Austin General Engineering (AGE). As a Quality Representative, she has assisted in training AGE staff on the implementation of the URS Quality Management System (QMS), and assists Project Managers in implementing the system on their projects. Ms. Sharp also served on the URS Gulf Coast Region Project
Management Certification Board.
