What are you passionate about?

Ensuring that my professional role reflects a commitment to quality work, transparency, and advocacy. I am dedicated to doing the right thing even when it’s challenging, ensuring that my actions align with both ethical standards and organizational values. Advocating for employees is equally important to me. I aim to create a work culture where individuals feel valued not only as an employee, but as part of a community. With the appropriate focus and communication, I believe that striking a balance between employee satisfaction and organizational success is achievable.

Describe your educational history:

Bachelor of Science in Bioenvironmental Sciences, Texas A&M University

What advise would you give to the current Aggies interested in entering environmental industry?

Never stop learning and be open to all opportunities. The world of science and technology is changing every day – whether it’s additional data points that alter a decision or innovation that invites a new way of doing things, be agile and willing to learn because there’s always something new. Consider all opportunities that come your way, even if it’s outside of your comfort zone. You never know where it could lead you. Also, learning how to manage a project effectively will be invaluable, regardless if the project is highly technical or more administrative/budget focused.

If you were entering the environmental industry today, what area would you pursue? Why?

While the air sector has been fascinating to me and I wouldn’t change a thing about my career path, I would consider pursuing an opportunity in the water sector, only because I don’t already have that experience. The truth is that all environmental media will continue to have a high priority for problem-solving in the future and will continue to offer ongoing career opportunities.
