Professional Summary
Peiguo Yuan, Ph.D. is Post Doc in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, at Texas A&M University. I started my Ph.D. program in 2013 at Washington State University after I received my master’s degree from the Beijing University of Agriculture in China. I received my Ph.D. degree in 2018, with my dissertation focusing on Calcium signaling in plants: role of Arabidopsis signal responsive1 (AtSR1) in the immune response. Through my Ph.D. research project, I have gained experience in plant immune response to pathogen infection. Now I am working as a postdoc associate at Texas A&M University, working on maize defense against pathogen infection and herbivore feeding, through which I have deepened my understanding of crop defense. I have also participated in other projects such as Plant Growth-Promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR or Plant Growth-Promoting Fungi, PGPF) induced systemic resistance. I am a review editor at Frontiers in Plant Science and a guest editor at Plants.
