Erin Arthur

Erin Arthur is a dedicated Ph.D. candidate and previous excellence fellow (Aug. 2021-Aug. 2022) in the department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology at Texas A&M University. Her research is focused on developing a management plan for the emerging disease, pecan leaf dieback, prevalent in pecan orchards across the southeastern United States. Arthur’s work spans fungicide evaluation, epidemiological studies, and genomic research, all contributing to the development of a comprehensive management plan. Arthur currently serves as the President of the Graduate Student Club, where she actively fosters a collaborative environment for aspiring researchers. Her leadership and dedication to academic excellence have led to increased engagement and opportunities for professional development. Arthur has been a featured speaker at conferences including the Texas Pecan Growers Conference and the American Phytopathology Society Caribbean Division Meeting. Her presentations have shed light on the complexities of pecan leaf dieback and highlighted potential strategies for mitigation.
