What advise would you give to the current Aggies interested in entering environmental industry?

Never turn down an opportunity for a entry level position in a field that you may not see as a good long term fit. Everyone must start their career somewhere! Get your foot in the door and start making those contacts and take advantage of any and all training that your employer offers. You never know where it might lead you!

If you were entering the environmental industry today, what area would you pursue? Why?

I have always been passionate about the environment, especially with respect to trash/garbage and recycling. Growing up there were very limited facilities and recycling options in my rural town which was frustrating. Illegal dumping was the norm. If I had to enter the environmental industry today I would start with local governments and would probably end up right where I am today!
