Directory Profile for Kevin Karr

Resume/CV

Professional Summary

Company

Link Logistics

Current Position

Director, Environmental Diligence and Compliance

Job Duties

I am part of an internal team of Environmental Professionals that act as Subject Matter Experts for environmental risk on both real estate due diligence (for purchase, refinance, and disposition) and environmental compliance for owned real estate.
I also conduct technical reviews of assessment reports completed by third-party vendors and provide guidance to the investments and transactions teams on methods to improve transaction readiness.

Impacts

My current role on the Link Environmental Diligence and Compliance team aims to reduce environmental risk and simplify the commercial real estate transaction process, as well as ensure environmental compliance of owned assets.

What are you passionate about?

Providing industry mentorship to others, while also continuing to learn and improve my own knowledge and skills.

Describe your educational history

I received a BA from Baylor University in 2004 with a double major in Geography and Environmental Studies.

Additional career-based education included obtaining various licenses/certifications in asbestos, lead, safety, and other environmental topics. I passed the ASTM Certified Environmental Professional exam in 2025.

What advise would you give to the current Aggies interested in entering environmental industry?

Networking is key! Meeting industry veterans can provide mentorship and guidance on the various industry paths.

If you were entering the environmental industry today, what area would you pursue? Why?

If I had known about the opportunities within the commercial real estate industry during college, I would have entered into this career path sooner. No two properties are the same, so there is always something interesting to figure out or learn when consulting on environmental risk. It can also be a financially lucrative way to follow a path in the environmental field.
