BESC 484 for internal use

BESC 484 Bioenvironmental Internship or Field Studies

Students submit this form to register their BESC 484 experience and gain department approval. Please provide ample information to allow for no delays in the approval process. Also, please recognize that your internship supervisor will receive a copy of this information if/when we contact them.

  • STUDENT INFORMATION

  • In accordance to Student Rule 1.6 (http://student-rules.tamu.edu/rule01), a student must be enrolled in the BESC 484 credit at the same time as they are completing the internship experience that is earning the credit. Credit cannot be earned for past or future experiences.”
  • SUPERVISOR INFORMATION

    Please provide this information for the person supervising your internship or research experience.
  • We want to track where and how students find their experiences. Did you find it through the Career Center? From a social media post? A particular website? A Career Fair? Some sort of BESC or NAEP activity? Please provide enough detail to be informative. Help us learn what is effective and/or point other students to great resources.
  • Be sure to include the company name
  • Provide a short title that conveys what you will be doing for you BESC 484 experience. For example, an effective title for an internship might convey both what you will be doing and for what entity. "Screening for Clean Air Act compliance at the TCEQ"
  • Provide a description of your role (what you will do or experience) while conducting this internship or research experience. This information will be used to evaluate the appropriateness of this experience to satisfy your BESC 484 requirement.
  • Explain why conducting this internship or research experience will benefit you. Be sure to describe how/whether it relates to your future career plans. This information will be used to evaluate the appropriateness of this experience to satisfy your BESC 484 requirement.
