C. sorghicola sclerotia

C. sorghicola sclerotia on an infected sorghum panicle. This species is only known in Japan. See: T. Tsukiboshi, T. Shimanuki and T. Uematsu. Claviceps sorghicola sp. Nov., a destructive ergot pathogen of sorghum in Japan. Mycological Research 103: 1403-1408, 1999.
