TAMU Graduate Handbook

Mentoring graduate students during and after completion of their degree programs is an important role for the faculty.

To assist in the mentoring process the Department has an academic advisor to help ensure students meet the regulations and requirements of the degree program and a faculty advisor to serve as a resource to students prior to their choice of an advisory committee. The typical student in the department uses a rotation system to interact with faculty in their laboratories to find an appropriate match in research interests.

We invite you to explore the web pages of the faculty to learn more about the research areas under investigation in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology. Feel free to contact any faculty member to discuss your interests and ask for advice on opportunities for graduate studies at Texas A&M University.
