The graduate curriculum in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology is designed to offer course work on pathogens, commodities, and the advanced techniques and methods used to gain a basic understanding of plant-microbe interactions. All students take a minimum core of courses in the department, but the majority of the classes may come from relevant specialties throughout the university. Professionalism is emphasized through seminar requirements, participation in the activities of professional societies, and interactions with visiting scientists. Details of requirements and university regulations may be found in the departmental graduate student handbook and the Texas A&M University graduate catalog. |
