Scab symptoms on Southern Pea
Scab (fungus - Cladosporium sp.): Irregular, purplish or
blackish spots on pods. Infection of young pods causes curling
and shedding. The fungus can be seed-borne. Field type peas
generally are more resistant than garden varieties. Purple hull
varieties appear more resistant than blackeyes.
