Crown Canker
(fungus - Cylindrocladium scoparium): Black, watersoaked cankers develop
at the base of plants. They usually go unnoticed until canes begin to dieback.
Crown canker is primarily a problem on greenhouse roses or roses, like miniature
types, propagated in containers. Sanitation is the key to control. Chemicals have
not been highly effective.
